我国不是玉米起源国,但我国已成为世界上最大玉米生产国,这离不开玉米育种水平的大幅度提升。玉米种质资源是玉米育种的基础支撑,因此也是保障国家粮食安全的战略资源。本文回顾了玉米种质资源对近现代我国玉米育种和生产的历史贡献,简要介绍了全球玉米种质资源保护情况和我国玉米种质资源引进情况,提出下一步玉米种质资源引进策略和重点,需要特别关注玉米驯化和传播早期发生地区、保存玉米种质资源的国际研究机构和保存数量名列前茅的国家,通过国际交换和国际合作是未来加快玉米种质资源引进的主要途径。
Although China is not the country of origin of maize, it has become the largest maize production country in the world. Maize germplasm resources serve as strategic assets supporting the development of maize breeding and ensuring national food security. This paper reviews the historical contributions of maize germplasm resources to modern maize breeding and production in China, briefly introduces the conservation status of global maize germplasm resources and the introduction of such resources into China, and proposes strategies and priorities for future maize germplasm resource introduction. Special attention should be paid to regions where early domestication and dissemination of maize occurred, international research institutions preserving maize germplasm resources, and countries ranking at the forefront in terms of conservation quantity. The paper concludes that international exchanges and cooperation will be the primary pathways for promoting the introduction of maize germplasm resource in the future.
