Importance and conservation status of vegetative vegetable germplasm resources were reviewed in this paper.Brief methods of in vitro conservation were given.The paper mainly focused on the status and advance of in vitro conservation of vegetative vegetable germplasm in china.Some emergent questions and prospect of in vitro conservation were presented and discussed.
