Abstract:In order to make use of the heterosis in hybridization breeding, it is of great significance to explore excellentgermplasm resources and analyze the combining ability. By deployment of 8 restorer lines and 21 sterile lines, which served as maleand female parent, respectively, this study generated 168 hybrids following the incomplete diallel hybridization 8×21 (NCII). These materials were analyzed for the combining ability and the genetic parameters of 8 agronomic traits. The results showed that theeffective panicle number, panicle length and 1000-grain weight were mainly affected by the additive effect, and the plant height, filledgrain number and the seed setting rate were mainly affected by the interaction of non-additive effect. The plant height, effective panicle number, spike length, 1000-grain weight and yield per plant of hybrid combination were largely female-dependent, while thetotal grain number was largely male-dependent. The grain number and seed setting rate were genetically contributed by both parents. The effective panicle number and yield per plant were depending on the interaction between genetic components and environment conditions. The parents with combining ability were 843A, Yixiang 1A, Huhan7A, Changhui 871, Changhui T025 and Yazhan. Out ofthese genotypes, Yixiang 1A and Changhui T025 exhibited the best General Combining Ability (GCA) effect value. The hybridcombination Yixiang 1A/ Changxianghui 1 exhibited the excellence on Special Combining Ability (SCA), and the hybrids includingYixiang 1A/ Changxianghui 1, Qianxiang 059A/ Changhui 121, Guang8A/Changhui 881 were qualified. Thus, by investigating thecombining ability of main agronomic characters in restorer lines, this study provided some scientific basis for the breeding of hybridrice restorer lines.

Abstract:For providing a reference on introduction and use of South Asia rice restorer lines resources, the combining ability analysis of yield trait was studied in rice restorer lines between China and South Asia by a NCⅡ mating design. 37 restorer lines from China and South Asia were used as male parents, and 3 CMS line,Gang46A,Lu98A,De-xiang074A were used as female parents, 111 hybrids were gained. The hybrids was planted in Lu-zhou city and De-yang city of Sichuan province in China respectively, and 8 yield traits was investigated and analyzed. The results shows: (1) Both general combining ability(GCA) and specific combining ability(SCA)were significant at 5% or 1% levels on 8 yield traits, and the additive effects were more important than non-additive effects. (2) The Yield traits were greatly influenced by restorer lines than by fmale sterile lines.(3) There are different between China and south Asia restorer lines on yield trait GCA, and India and Bengal restorer lines has a better GCA on tiller number than Chinese resource,Chinese rice restorer lines is better than South Asia resource on other yield traits GCA..
